Thanks to those of you that have stuck to playing and enjoying your football on Monday nights instead of trying to amputate other peoples legs!
Thanks to those of you that have kept the bad language and the noise down (in particular the loud car reving and burnouts when leaving the ground) in consideration of our friendly neighbours!
Thanks to those teams who bring their goals and 4 white pegs back to shed after the last games!
Thanks to those of you who put all your rubbish in the bins
No thanks to those that continue to leave tape and other rubbish all over the ground– please put it in the rubbish bins!
No thanks to those that continue to put all other players at risk with dangerous and wreckless tackles- please take it easy!
Lost property- a Player from Nations United lost an ETAG device in a black armband casing on monday night- whoever accidently found it and took it home for closer inspection please return, a reward of a free drink is on offer!(no questions asked- I promise)
Womens comp- please note GIRLS ON FIELD have pulled out of the competition on Monday night at 7.00pm 20 minutes before they were due to play. I will need to make some changes to the schedule but this will not affect next weeks games as this team were due for a bye.
Other information
Please note if you sustain a serious injury- you can claim on our insurance- please email me for all the details.
Super 6 Soccer is now the proud sponsor of under 13/1 boys Burwood Soccer team- look out (around the local Canterbury association grounds) for our logo proudly emblazened on their shirts.

Violent behaviour
We had two incidents last week that involved wreckless tackles and retaliation in a mens div 1 game and a mens div 3 game. In the div 1 game there was a lot of swearing and carrying on and verbal threats and abuse from both sides, even the spectators were involved.
This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated and if it happens again players or entire teams will be banned from the competition. Let the refs deal with the situation and if they can,t -come and see me don’t take it upon yourselves to start retaliating and carrying on like kids in the playground! Grow up and tell your spectators act like adults and not interfere. If you carry on like that people like me will not run competitions for adults. Remember we are here to have fun its a social comp , not to break legs in tackles or take swipes at other players- I know its a physical game! but try and take care when tackling. I want the captains to take some control and talk to their teams.
Ive asked the refs to start dishing out more cards to protect the players- yellow , blue and red, blue is your off for 5 minutes and cannot be replaced. Please not when its a kick in the opposition must be at least 3 mteres away from the ball. When its an indirect free kick the opposition players must be at least 5 meters away from the ball. Ive asked refs to start enforcing these rules.
Canteen and HOT food
You may have noticed we have set up a canteen, the first week we were selling hot food ie BBQ Sausages in a roll; $3.50/ Chicken kebabs in a roll $4.50 and not many people were interested, and when we decided to not sell it last week - some people wanted hot food. We do sell drinks- soft drinks $2.50 , gatorade $3.50 and water $2.00, tea and coffee $1.50, potato crisps $2.60, chocolates $1.50-2.80. The canteen is open from 6.30pm to 9.00pm.
Please let us know if you would like us to continue with hot food? Ask your team mates and email me and let me know - email me on leonardo1@ozemail.com.au or sms me on 0414970769.
