Hi there, ive just come of the phone to council and they have decided to close the ground and tonights games are now cancelled. The ground is still very soft from all the rain  weve had in the past week -and if we were to play tonight we will chop it up too much. It needs another day to properly dry out. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

I will addvise what happens to tonights games if  they will be played or not and when.

Wednesday nights games will go ahead as per revised schedule

Also a number of teams have contacted me about the Tuesday rounds and scheduling of extra games. The Tuesdays games were added as a buffer because we often get washed out games and wanted everyone to get there fair share of games - rather than just offer all the teams are draw. Other comps in the area cancel games when its spitting and end up only playing only a small number of games in their competition, by  not rescedulimng the games. The extra games scheduled were done because I had to change divisions around so much that teams moved to different divs had to play their allotted games. We have a set time to complete the comp by the 3rd week in March!

I thought people teams would be happy about getting to play all their games but it seems a number of teams are not and its a bit over the top. I wouldnt mind just cancelling the round and giving everyone a draw - that way I can stay home and watch my 3 gamea ive recorded from the weekneds premier league.

 Ive had discussions with council , who will be doing a pitch inspection this morning. They said that with all the rain we had the ground is  very very soft and will cut up if played on. Ill wait to hear from them again and post a message later this morning before 12.

Tuesday Feb 9 - 8.15pm - Boltz FC vs Cheers IV  Field 2 Wembley Cancelled and moved to Tuesday 8.55pm Wembley. So Cheers IV will play two games on Wed 8.15pm and 8.55pm.  So no game for Cheers IV on Tuesday. Apologies for the late notice

Tuesday Feb 9 Nations United v Loopstars- 6.15pm Wembley moved to Field  4 San Siro -8.55pm

 All games scheduled for Field 1 Bernabeau this week will now be played on Field 4 San Siro to allow Field one to recover and repair.

Please note I have forwarded details about tables to all team organisers, please ask the about the tables and results.

Please keep an eye on this website about tomorrows games as there may be more changes. Please note teams that cannot play tomorrow will lose on forfeit, -you can play and finish with 4 players. If your team is going to pull out please, please notify asap although I will not be happy, teams have known well in advance about this two extra Tuesday rounds.

If it rains tomorrow please check this website  for an update about Tuesdays round.

This is the final update- as of 2.15pm today- weve had sunshine and wind for the last 3 hours and as a result we will be going ahead with all games tonight.

The only game that has been cancelled is the  additionally scheduled game at 8.55 between The sledge and Redwings

We had a bit of rain this morning and Ive just done a pitch inspection and it looks Ok, the forcast is for more showers

So at this stage game are on!! (both juniors and seniors)

 I will be monitoring the weather in the next few hours and put a final update at 2.15pm today just to confirm the games are still on.

Senior Comp 

On the link below you will find the full draw for the rest of the competition. (treat it as draft for the moment) As stated at the start of the competition we will be playing two Tuesdays in February as well as the scheduled Wednesdays.  This will give us time to finish  all the games. The additional Tuesdays are  Tuesday Feb 2 ( Next week) and Tuesday Feb 9.  No changes to times will be made unless their is an obvious conflict or mistake. Ive spread the early games as much as possible- sorry no changes to these times. We are trying to repair some fields - so dont warm up or play on these fields.

Games in Green are games played, games in light pink are games that have not been played and games highlighted in yellow are additional scheduled games to be played - that have been missed due to all the changes.  Ladies div 3 will now have a bye round so your team will get a bye- if you do get a bye you may have another game scheduled in yellow  so check carefully.

Everybody check the draw carefully as  games highlighted in yellow are catch up games - so on one evening your team may have 2 games on!

We have Wed March 17 as spare- if one of the regular rounds gets cancelled we will use this round and everything will be brought forward. If we dont use this Wed - we will use it for semi finals. If we have to use it, we will play semi finals and finals on the same evening Wed 24 March (officially the last night of comp 2)

Senior Comp- Some more changes

Due to a number of team withdrawals, mismatches and Lightning affected games, Ive put teams in a different structure. The new structure is on the second worksheet on the excel file link below.

We have a number of catch up games due to the above circumstances. A lot of teams will need to play twice over the next few weeks so please check the draw carefully.  The many changes has meant I will need more time to complete the whole competion draw- say about 2 weeks time and I have to build in on the catch up games.

The only  div with a bye round is Ladies div 2 but we will use this Bye round to catch up a few games- so if you see you have a bye check to see if you have another game scheduled.

Junior Comp

I have just started going through the Junior teams now, Ill post a more detailed note Monday night.  We will have two time slots  8/9 Div will play at 4.55pm and the 11/12 Div will play at 5.25 pm. All the single registered players  to come to the ground at least 20 mins before their timeslot above, so we can put you in a team. Please note the under 14 girls and boys comps will not be going ahaead and refunds will be provided in the coming weeks. Sorry I did try!

Last Thursday I emailed team organisers the draw for this Wed, some of you have contacted me to ask about the draw- it seems the message has not got through to some of you. If it hasnt please email me as you will probably not get other email notifications. Ive copied pasted the email here below as well as the link to the draft draw for this Wed. There has been one change the Inner West Courier has pulled out of Div 3 and as a result The crooked Shoe has a BYE no game for this week.

I havent heard back from some of you to tell me you got the message about the games this week, so please email me to let me know you got this message.

Ive decided to ban all slide tackles for  all future competitions across all Grades .

Please note the following:

We will be aiming to play 11 rounds from 13 Jan to 10 Mar , (spare round on March 17, Finals on March 24) we will also be playing two Tuesdays in February in addition to playing on the Wednesday.(the two Tuesdays will be 2nd Feb and 9 Feb)

Some divisions will be playing two round others one and a half.

Women’s Div 2 and 3 only have 5 teams in their respective division- Instead of having two byes or no games- the team have a bye or no game in each div will play each other in a friendly. Ive done this so that you play  more games- please do not think this is an excuse for a forfeit.

Men’s Div 4, Walters Team Crazy Eagles now playing against  Fistiano Stonealdo

Women’s Div 2 – I had no choice but to put two Div 1 teams in Div 2 -but to even things up and make it a fair comp – Redbacks will be handicapped 2 goals and Batildas II will be handicapped 1 goal for each game.

I’ve placed 3 Div 1 men’s over 35 teams into the All age men’s com Div 3 as we did not have enough div 1 over 35 teams to start a comp.

New rule you can start and finish with 4 players, less than 4 it’s a forfeit.

Still no slide tackling in over 35 Div 2

Games will start on time- so ensure your players are ready to start.- parking is available at bowling club – any cars obstructing local resident driveways will be towed away- don’t risk it as Ive got the number of the tow truck company on direct dial.

For insurance purposes I need every players details and photo- no details no insurance. In addition teams will not be written into full draw unless registration is completed and all the fees are paid- minimum of 8 players.

I banned 3 players last comp for serious breaches of our conditions –any sort of violence will not be tolerated and will be dealt with swiftly and severely! Teams and players will be banned and any serious violence will be reported to the police- so have a long chat to your players about this! Don’t even think about any abuse directed towards the refs!!!

New teams – if you the last team playing the ref will remind you that your team is responsible for bringing tone of the goals back to the dressing shed, fully assembled and ensure the steel pegs about 4 of them are brought back and given to staff. Teams guilty of not bring goals in  will lose points and will not be invited back to future competitions.

Centenary Park is not a rubbish tip – so please put your rubbish in the bins we put out.

Please respect the neighbours by keeping noise down when coming and going

Tables or results will not be posted on website until the 3rd round.

We supply the ball, we do not have ball boys and its up to each team to retrieve the match ball even if it goes onto the road- please take care when crossing the road or jumping the fence on Queen st.

Our canteen will be open again selling hot food, cool drinks and some junk food!!! Sorry Chocolates, snakes chips etc. open between 5.30 and 9.00pm

We do not have spare balls ,shin pads,  socks, shorts, or goal keeper gloves!

Ice packs are available but will not be in the future unless the 30 I’ve given out are returned.

If you want to warm up be my guest but please respect the teams playing and use the designated warm up areas – Ive attached the map.

We have one spare week up a sleeve for rain cancelled round – all other round affected by rain cancellation will not be replayed.

Want to contact me its best to email me rather than ring me unless its absolutely urgent- don ring me on Wed afternoon as I’m busy setting up the fields.- also I work a day job and cant take calls during the day.

All teams must have the same colour strip with numbers and all players must be wearing shin pads.

Apologies for sounding like a grumpy old man! I really am not I just have to repeat these things for some of the new teams to understand our rules- that way everybody has fun!

The full draw will be up by about Tuesday Jan 19.

If there is a clash of colours bibs are available at the canteen.

The second junior comp will start on  wed Jan 20, no games for Juniors will be played this Wed.    The competition will go up to the 2nd or 3rd week in March. We are still looking for under 13/14 boys and girls teams to join the second competition and we are also looking for more under 8/9’s and under 12 teams to also join.

Semi finals will be played this Wednesday and a draft draw has been sent to team organisers- so if you havent received a draw from your team organiser  ask them for it.  I may make one more change and once I do will put it up on this post later today. If you have made it into the top 4 you are playing a game this Wed. If you made it into the top 8 in the over 35 div 2 you will also be playing a game this Wed. Senior Comp 2

There are a lot of teams that have not finalised their registration for comp 2.  Due to some issues regarding unregistered players I will require completed registration forms with every players details, including a digital photo. If I dont get this  your team will not be registered.  I have a number of single female and male applications- please let me know if you are looking for more players in your teams and ill pass on their details for you to contact them. Please let me know asap. 

For those that make it to the grand final - your game will be played on Wed Dec 16. For those not  making it  and for all the new teams the first round of comp 2 will be played on Dec 16. (For those in the grand finals and registered to play in comp 2 - you will play your first game on Jan 13).

Hi There , we are now down to the business end of the season and for the seniors we are having drinks to celebrate this Wednesday Dec 2, over at the bowls starting at 7.15pm.- If you have not sent me an RSVP  with team name and numbers attending You will not get you free drink vouchers and luckdoor prize tickets at the door! So please do so asap.

I have managed to reschedule some games for those playing at 8.55pm to early time slots . I  will also be setting up another field over by the cricket nets and calling it Field 9 Hampdon Park. Two games will be played on this field - Seniors only.

For those attending drinks, please pick up your drink vouchers at the door- each team will get 16 vouchers which will entitle them to either a beer, wine or soft drink for each voucher (please hand it over to bar staff when claiming your drink).

 Please  dont forget to  also pick up your lucky door prize ticket when you enter at the premises.(only one ticket per entry)  Please note best player awards will be presented at this event around 9.15pm-9.30pm. Players who have won, will be notified to attend!

The grand finals of each division will be played this Wed, please note they will be played on 4.40 and 5.10pm there will not be any games played at 5.40pm- please check times carefully and please ensure your team comes over to the yellow tent for the presentations after there games.
